Self Portrait, London, United Kingdom 2022

I usually sense a powerful but ethereal power when I enter the forest—Mother Earth's calling. This force reflects a profound connection between the strength of womanhood and the essence of nature. Fruits, Forest, Fertility explores the fusion of nature, femininity, and the semiotics of fruit. These perspectives guide my exploration of the bond between the female form and nature, embodying fertility and its ties to Mother Earth.

As with women, nature is the fruit's mother. Nature nurtures fruit just as mothers nurture their offspring. I delve into symbols of fertility revered throughout mythology and ancient times. The pomegranate and the pear, both emblematic of fertility and laden with semiotic significance, are key motifs in my work. Pomegranates symbolize "many children, many blessings," while pears are symbolized for their resemblance to the female womb. Historically, fruit has been intimately connected with humanity, serving as a powerful symbols of fertility and prosperity.

Fruits, Forest, Fertility is a photography-based project, which incorporates self-portraiture. reflecting my introspection and internal dialogue as a woman. By embedding myself within my creations, I seek to reconnect with nature and express the shared essence between Mother Earth and women. This connection is akin to an umbilical cord of fertility, highlighting their profound commonalities.
