"部屋" (Bedrooms), began unexpectedly with a spontaneous shot who casually smoking on a bed in Japan. This initial capture, filled with a sense of ease and intimacy, inspired a deeper exploration into the significance of rooms as private sanctuaries where individuals truly unfold.
Bedrooms, documents human emotions from raw desires to serene moments of solitude. As I traveled across different countries, I entered numerous rooms, each telling its own story through the remnants and traces of those who had occupied them. My lens focuses on the palpable tension between private revelations and the universality of human experience, capturing everything from the bold expressions of sexuality and desire to the unadorned simplicity of quiet moments.
As a female photographer, I acutely feel that women's sexual needs are often overlooked by society, and discussing these needs openly is a challenging task. This book compiles a series of documentary photographs taken during my travels across various countries. Through these images, I not only document my emotional experiences with different rooms but also delve into the themes of desire, intimacy, the female body, and sexual freedom. These photographs are observations of the external world as well as reflections and expressions of the inner self. They aim to break the taboos surrounding sexual topics and call for more attention and respect towards women's sexual needs.
